I used pastels to create this piece of art. Whenever I think of Africa, a lioness tends to come to mind!. I drew a lioness, with her two children, walking slowly. A lioness symbolizes letting go of stress, courage, and power of the female sun. Usually when the sun is setting, it is peaceful.

I love your african art piece! The patterns you chose are great as they really draw your eye towards the art work. The colours you chose are also very peaceful, like your sunset. Very nice job!

ReplyDeleteI really like this picture! I like how you used warm colors to give the feeling of a happy calm scene, I also like the patterns you used and how you let the black of the paper show through in some spots making a nice effect. :)

What I love about this peice is it truly relfects that it is inspired by African textiles. It has a lovely rythym and balance.
